Director of 
Human Resources

The Director of HR will play a key leadership role in shaping and managing all aspects of our human resources functions. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure our people processes support a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. Your responsibilities will include:

​

  • Leading on HR strategy, including recruitment, retention, wellbeing, and workforce development

  • Overseeing HR compliance, policies, and best practice in line with employment law and sector standards

  • Supporting line managers across the organisation with HR matters and employee relations

  • Driving equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our workplace culture

  • Managing confidential HR records and systems effectively

  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in people management and organisational development

  • Leading or supporting on change management projects and staff engagement initiatives

We are looking for a people-focused, strategic thinker with the following:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within the voluntary, public, or social enterprise sector

  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • A track record of delivering HR strategies that support inclusive growth and positive culture

  • Confidence in handling sensitive and complex employee matters with discretion and integrity

  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is desirable

Legal Advisor

We are seeking a legal advisor to provide comprehensive legal support to our CIC as we support whistleblowers through documentary production, social media platforms, educational workshops and organisational partnerships. Working alongside our parliamentary liaison officer, you'll ensure we operate within all relevant legal frameworks while maximising our impact.

What will you be doing?
• Advising on data protection compliance (GDPR) across all activities
• Reviewing company documentation to ensure compliance with the law
• Reviewing documentary and social media/website content for defamation and contempt of court risks
• Ensuring CIC compliance and supporting contract reviews with partner organisations
• Reviewing workshop materials and providing guidance for legal accuracy
• Providing strategic legal guidance on whistleblowing legislation and regulatory developments
• Developing legal frameworks for confidential information handling and service delivery

What are we looking for?

• Law degree (at least 2:1)
• Relevant experience in a law setting
• DBS check
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and thorough case management
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Flexibility for urgent matters
• Strong knowledge of data protection law and media law (e.g. defamation, contempt of court)
• Understanding of whistleblowing legislation and employment law (desirable)
• CIC/charity law experience (desirable)

Finance Officer

We are seeking a finance officer to develop and execute long-range financial strategies that support company goals.

What will you be doing?​

  • The Director of Finance will lead the CIC’s financial operations, overseeing banking, funding applications, financial risk management, and expense controls. This role ensures robust financial governance and supports strategic decision-making to enable sustainable community impact.

​

What are we looking for?

  • (not a requiment but ideal) Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience 

  • DBS required

  • Experienced in a senior finance role—ideally in a CIC, charity, or social enterprise context—for at least 3 years.

  • Demonstrated experience with grant-funded organisations, restricted fund tracking, and financial reporting to funders.

  • Strong technical skills (e.g., ability to manage forecasts, cashflow projections, budgeting tools, QuickBooks, Sage, Excel).

  • Excellent communicator: able to work with non‑finance colleagues and present to trustees or boards.

  • Rigorous, organised, and trustworthy approach to financial controls, ethics, and compliance.

Parliamentary
Liaison 
Officer

We are seeking a Parliamentary Liaison Officer to build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, MPs, local authorities, and public agencies, helping to advance our CIC’s mission through strategic communication, collaboration, and policy engagement.

What will you be doing?​

  • Act as the main point of contact between our CIC and government stakeholders.

  • Identify relevant government departments, MPs, or public bodies aligned with our mission.

  • Draft and send letters, briefings, and emails to public officials or policymakers.

  • Arrange and attend meetings (in-person or virtual) with officials or their representatives.

  • Represent the CIC in external meetings, events, and forums relating to policy or campaigns.

  • Monitor relevant policy developments and parliamentary activity.

  • Help shape and support campaign strategies, including petitions, policy briefings, or consultations.

  • Support the leadership team with public affairs insight and networking advice.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong understanding of UK political systems, government structures, and public policy.

  • DBS Check

  • Experience in policy, communications, campaigning, or public affairs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Confident in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including public officials and civil servants.

  • Organised, proactive, and politically neutral in approach.

  • Passion for community-driven change and the values of our CIC.

Admin Officer
closes 30th August 2025

As our Admin Officer, you’ll play a vital part in the smooth day-to-day running of our operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and managing the organisation’s general mailbox

  • Liaising with internal staff to ensure enquiries are directed and handled appropriately

  • Keeping accurate records of all communication and actions taken

  • Supporting HR with routine admin tasks and reporting

  • Assisting with document management and ensuring admin processes are up to date

​

We’re looking for a dependable and motivated individual with the following skills and qualities:

​

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities

  • Confidence using email systems and basic office software (e.g. Word, Excel)

  • A proactive approach to handling tasks and solving problems

  • Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable but not essential

  • Understanding of or interest in working within the third sector / community-led organisations

Wellbeing 
Advisor

We are seeking a Wellbeing Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide empathetic, non-judgmental, and confidential advice to individuals who are experiencing mental health difficulties related to whistleblowing. This is a remote, flexible position designed to fit around your existing commitments.

  • We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience in mental health support, counselling, or a related field.

  • Have strong safeguarding experience.

  • Possess strong active listening and communication skills.

  • Are empathetic, non-judgmental, and able to build trust with clients.

  • Can work independently and manage their time effectively.

  • Are committed to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards.

  • Can offer one-on-one support sessions via phone, video call, or secure messaging platforms. 

  • Can create a safe space for individuals to express their feelings, thoughts, and concerns.

  • Can signpost individuals to additional resources and or professional services when needed.

  • Have the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records for all  advice provided.

  • Can make referrals to statutory services and voluntary agencies when required
